Talk therapy/counselling is an incredibly valuable tool to help mental health complaints like anxiety, depression and PTSD, however, sometimes there is a need for more support or a desire to find other forms of support.
Acupuncture is an effective, non-verbal way to support victims of trauma, or those suffering with anxiety and depression. What this means is that the client only needs to disclose what he/she/they feels comfortable disclosing and that the treatment’s efficacy is not dependant on talking through the issue. Though sharing is encouraged, it is not necessary. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are also great compliments to counselling and other mental health care.
